VI Technology Builds Semiconductor Demo for NI Mobile Expo Tour
National Instruments selects VI Technology to create an IC Characterization System demo for their Mobile Expo Tour.
AUSTIN, Texas (May 8, 2008) -- VI Technology was selected to build an IC Characterization System demo for the National Instruments Mobile Expo Tour. The Mobile Expo is a 38' custom RV that will travel for approximately 20 weeks going onsite to customers who rely on the latest test and measurement technology around the country. There will be 5 demos on the vehicle that showcase select NI Alliance Partners abilities in automated test and measurement. VI Technology was chosen based on its expertise in delivering a highly successful turn-key automated test system to a global leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded semiconductors.
The IC Characterization System demo contains a reusable test framework based on commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) instruments. This feature creates a scalable, modular, and flexible bench-top tester which could be easily used for IC characterization, design validation, compliance, and product testing. The demo also showcases the IC Characterization System’s data management and reporting capabilities. Utilizing VI Technology Arendar 2007, a full-featured IC Characterization System can store valuable test data in a secure, consistent, and automatic manner in centralized database storage. Test and characterization results are made available through Web based report viewing and generation.
